The clinic
Finding us on Al Wasl Road
The practice is based at Quttainah Specialized Hospital on Al Wasl Road, in Umm Suqeim 3, Dubai. The hospital is easy to reach from the main Al Wasl route, with parking on site. Reception will register you and direct you to the ENT rooms, so it helps to arrive a little before your appointment time.
Bring anything that describes your history so far. Previous scans and radiology reports, earlier hearing tests, and a written list of the medication you currently take are all useful. For a child's appointment, please also bring the vaccination and health record.
Your first consultation
What the appointment involves
The first visit is about understanding the cause. Dr. Missaghian listens first, then examines, then explains what he has found in language you can follow. Treatment is discussed once that picture is clear.

A conversation about your history
You describe the symptom in your own words: when it started, how it behaves, and what makes it better or worse. Earlier reports, treatments and medication are reviewed at the same time.

Examination with video-endoscopy
The ear, nose and throat are examined using the Otopront treatment workstation with HD video-endoscopy, KARL STORZ endoscopes and ZEISS optics. The image appears on the screen beside you, so you see what the doctor sees while he explains it.

Hearing or allergy testing, where it is needed
If the history points that way, hearing and balance testing can often be carried out on the day using the PATH MEDICAL Sentiero platform, including tympanometry, audiometry and otoacoustic emissions. Skin or blood allergy testing can be arranged when an allergic cause is suspected.

A plan explained in plain language
You leave with an explanation of what was found and what it means for you. Where treatment is indicated, the options are set out step by step, including what an operation would involve if surgery is the right choice.
